Elias Hutchinson
Elias Hutchinson has been making stop-motion animations with Lego pieces since the age of 11. His early work centered on historical subjects and won him first place in his category at the Georgia Educational Technology Fair in both 2014 and 2015.
At Milton High School, he was a productive member of his Drama Program and Audio Visual class, producing and directing shorts, informational films, and promotional videos for his school’s theatrical productions.
Elias majored in Film and Television Production at Western Carolina University. His short films were consistently selected for the university's exclusive film festival every year he attended.
He also worked as a paid Writing Fellow at the WCU Writing and Learning Center to provide constructive feedback on student writing assignments for literature, science, and film classes.
At the University of Georgia, Elias has continued to hone his skills as he pursues his MFA in Film, TV, and Digital Media.
Elias writes screenplays, creates stop-motion animations, and directs and edits short films. He also does voice acting, freelance videography, and video tape digitization.
